O’Neile sets big team for Tamworth

Troy O’Neile will have a team of up to four runners racing on his home track on Monday, with Tamworth Jockey Club set to host their last meeting of 2025.

O’Neile is giving Albert’s Pick (Zac Wadick, gate 6) a chance over eight furlongs, and the 3YO D’Argento filly is drawn to figure from gate 4.

Albert’s Pick has been racing well without winning over 1400m, and connections will be hopeful of a bold showing on their home track.

Hidden Detail (Mikayla Weir, gate 9), who caught the eye last start, joins stablemate Milly’s Image (Zac Wadick, gate 5) when taking on the 1200m Maiden Plate.

Hidden Details flashed strongly to finish fifth on debut in the $50,000 Super Maiden Plate (1100m) at Armidale on December 7, beaten only 1.72 lengths.

Milly’s Image is also second up after her debut run at Scone on December 2 and will be better served second-up over the six furlongs on her home track.

Reprisal (Mikayla Weir, gate 7) will be the last of O’Neile’s chances at Tamworth when taking on the Country Boosted 1400m Class Two Handicap.

The 5YO Trapeze Artist gelding, a two-time winner, is fresh from a good second-place finish in the 1250m Benchmark 58 Handicap Gunnedah on December 6.

At Tamworth, Reprisal is back to her grade and gets a chance to feature on her home track.

While the focus is on his runners at Tamworth on Monday, O’Neile will then head to Quirindi on Boxing Day, with Sashabella set to contest the 1100m Class One Handicap.
